Jul 13, 2025 Little Moose Creek Trail Report

hiked the northern 2.5 miles of the trail on July 12, 2025. This trail along with others in the Moose Creek area was burned over in 2022. There are hundreds of down trees across the portion of trail i walked. There are also a huge amount of dead trees waiting to fall. There are some steep sections of trail that go straight up the fall line that could use some relocation to reduce erosion potential if the trail is ever reopened. The north end of the trail is very steep with poor switchbacks making it dangerous for climbing motorcycle use.
