Overall the trail is riding good. There are a few spots that are overgrown. On our ride we ran into about 10 Arizona Trail volunteers working on the trail. They were about 1 mile in from the Butterfly trail connector. They warned us of some poison ivy in the trail. It's on one of the hike-a-bike parts 1 to 2 miles in. A must ride if you are into a back country adventure ride. Beautiful views. Just be prepared for the steep 3 mile climb up the control road at the end if you are going to Summerhaven.
