Description:
Rode 5 miles o/b from the Lick Ck Rd trailhead. First 3 miles were okay. It's a narrow trail with overgrown brush (long sleeves and pants recommended), and plenty of loose sand, rocks, and tree branches. Miles 4 and 5 were a lot of hike-a-bike along rocky cliff sections. Beautiful scenery along the river, but rough going on a mtb. I was hoping this might be a singletrack shortcut for the Salmon River Solitude bikepacking route, but I'm gonna let that dream die. I'm impressed that motos are able to navigate this trail, and appreciate their log clearing efforts.
