It's a narrow trail with overgrown brush (long sleeves and pants recommended), and plenty of loose sand, rocks, and tree branches. Miles 4 and 5 were a lot of hike-a-bike along rocky cliff sections. Beautiful scenery along the river, but rough going on a mtb. I was hoping this might be a singletrack shortcut for the Salmon River Solitude bikepacking route, but I'm gonna let that dream die.
