While the trails at Pinehurst appeared to be almost completely dry, the fallen bark and fronds Can be slippery, especially on the many, very tight turns. My bike did slide out from the rear a few times and I had to get a foot out in a hurry. That said pretty minor for somebody used to riding in the northeast and conditions were generally pretty good. A little moisture on Florida trails can actually make them a little bit nicer too. Almost no spots where the sand was thick and heavy.
