Great trail. Don't listen to the haters.
For sure it's a solid blue with a few spicy bits. Whatever. Super fun.
It IS IN FACT rather pedally, with all the little uphills. But typical desert riding at 18 RD and other desert locations FWIW.

Heading west to east, there are a handful of steep climbs. Otherwise it is a pretty mild trail with no real technical challenges. Flowy in spots but overall not a lot of action.

Like a few others have said, this trail is no bueno. Nothing fun about it. The only thing that could qualify it as black is some exposure in some sections and a couple steep downhills. I stopped by and camped for a night while on a road trip. I had family with me so had the luxury of a shuttle. If I had to climb all the way up the road to do this trail, I would have been pissed off at the bottom. Don't waste your time on this one. Joe's Ridge + Mo' Joe way better with lots of jumps and small drops. Even PBR is more fun in my opinion.

Don't even get me started about the bottom half of this trail after it crosses the road and climbs back up the ridge. Even more of a waste of time and effort. If you happen to not believe any of the other similar reviews and give this a try for yourself, bail out at the road. Trust me...

Halfway down this trail I wished I had done Joe's Ridge/Mo'Joe a. second time.

Respectfully, this is not a great trail. You can quibble over whether it’s a blue or a black. Regardless, the only things that make it spicy are a couple of steep climbs, a couple steep (but uninteresting) descents, and a bit of exposure. This might thrill inexperienced intermediate riders, but will vote almost any solid, experienced rider. Don’t bother.

It's a black given the difficulties of the trails around it. Trail ratings ARE LOCAL. Call it a blue and the ambulance is out often for people who think it's a walk-in-the-park.

Trail is like riding on a cobblestone street due to the damage by all the cows. Ditto with many of the other trails at 18 road.

Trail is sweet and description is accurate. Would only be fun in direction shown, west to east. Lung burning climbs to start, then some cool tech and fast bits.

Trail Down Uppity
Takes a lot of pedaling to keep speed. Tight and narrow turns. Fun if you’re into that, a chore if you’re not.

Super fun, but not sure I'd rate it black. Moreso a blue/black at most. Has a few steeper sections with a little exposure. One of the longer pedals at 18rd, so don't leave it for the last lap of the day. ????

Good trail, a must do. Black is likely appropriate given the huge range of mtb’er abilities. Call it a blue and get someone on this that thinks they’re intermediate and they might be in for a ride. Most sections are easy with a few steep weehoo moments. if you’re unsure, you can walk steep sections.

It’s no fun in either direction, please provide a more accurate description of the trail as to not trick intermediate to advanced riders into thinking this is a trail with thrills.

I find it lacking and so will any person looking for a black trail which this is obviously not.
No steps, no steep downhills, only steep uphills.

Rode this up twice today. Trail is in great shape. It definitely gets the heart rate up a bit and is great practice for beginners

Still would not give this a black diamond rating. Blue black but only for the few really steep sections. It's mostly blue as the trail is pretty smooth.

Overrated, some cool sections, but overall a very pedally and slow downhill trail, more like a blue for experienced riders. There are some exposed sections, but as long as you can ride in a straight line you will be fine.
Worth a ride, just maybe not worth the uphill.

Nicely constructed trail up. Hardly know your climbing. Only negative is it’s popularity.

A reasonably fun down hill - kind of rutted and full of cattle tracks when I rode it 4/19.

I wouldnt describe this trail as peaceful. Its scenic, sure, but it absolutely deserves its black diamond rating for a couple of the 100 foot almost-vertical-chutes that could break a few bones if your not 100% focused. I would describe it as FULL ON, despite the lack any rock gardens. An absolute blast regardless of what I assumed it to be based on the other comment.
