The permanently closed section is private property West from Big Basin Park boundary. It is open within the park.
Good condition, no trees down or washouts on the section from Gazos Creek road to Chalk road..

Wet but holding up well. A few muddy spots. Some big trees on the ground requiring maneuver ing to get through Variableview

This "trail" (actually a fire rd) is open and rideable, although there is still some forest cleanup work taking place, with some intermittent twigs and other debris present. Nothing that's a ride-stopper. Variableview

The section of road between Butano Rd (at the North end), south to the junction at elevation 2044 is mislabeled here. It's not Middle Ridge rd, but rather Johansen. The northern-most end of Middle Ridge begins at the jct at elev. 2044, and goes south to the jct w/Gazos Crk Rd. This is per the official state parks map at https://www.parks.ca.gov/pages/540/files/BBRSP_WebMap_17x11.pdf Variableview

The road is open and in good condition. Nice way to survey the forest’s recovery from wildfire. Dryview

Fire road as bikes aren't allowed on trails within the park. Get ready to climb!! Steep and short climbs with lose dirt, almost sand. Beautiful scenery though! ! Bring lots of water if riding in the Summer. Enjoy!! Dryview
