Dry Pond Loop is a 6 mile popular intermediate route located near Reno Nevada. This mountain bike only route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 4 trails. This route climbs 1,100 ft with a max elevation of 6,962 ft then descends -1,108 ft.

I prefer thomas to whites as well. You're climbing in the shade and the descent on Whites has a lot of line options/wider path so you don't get as jammed up with other trail users

I wish more riders would ride it in the recommended direction shown on the Trailforks map. Up Whites Creek and down Thomas Creek. Rode it today at 6am to avoid hikers and ran into MTBs pedaling up Thomas Crk. I yielded to them tough I wanted to continue my flow.
