Trail is in the worse condition I’ve seen in 20 years. Too many loose cobblestones and the switchbacks are covered in finely ground soil and rock. Also a number of places are washed out. It does appear that someone has stared widening the trail at the southern end.

Trail Ben Lomond
Awesome downhill, pretty tough climb for 6 miles in granny gear. Probably should be labeled a black when compared to all the blue trails in North Fork Park.

The motos are taking their toll and there are many sections that are blown out, scarred, or so full of loose rubble that they are now HAB going up. You won't notice going down but a MTB just cannot climb a moto rut of rubble or paddle dust. Sections in the trees better than the south facing. Clear, just lose and bit moto scarred now.

10/16/18 Lewis Peak 17 mile all fueled by plant protein power. All natural. No electric bike, or unnatural addictive stuff.

I've been preparing for today for months. I made sure I did some QiGong exercises before starting my ride and ate some nutritious plant protein (I'm a practical part time vegan).

Some parts at the top had mud and snow. The downhill was awesome (7 miles).

It was quite the challenge. I spent a long time on the mountain because: (1) I took lots of pictures for "Arthur's Trails" YouTube playlist (2) I had work related phone calls and texts to respond (3) The mud on top slowed me down, and (4) I biked about half of the miles in the dark with no light (next time I'll make sure I take my Night Rider lights).

The video shown isn't the same trail. The video is of a trail of similar name in the UK. I was quite disappointed, however the trail is still really fun.

Trail closed for flood fixes until Nov 2017, and by then it will be full of snow.

Amazing Gem! Super lush, perhaps the most lush trail I've ever rode in Utah. Often it feels like a foliage tunnel. It's nearly flat with gradual grades, super smooth and rock free. (There was one rutted spot, see pictures) I would recommend this trail to all skill levels. Despite not being challenging, the lush winding turns are really fun.
