Extra Innings is a 7-mile intermediate tour that connects the Ball Field and Ridge trails for a great sampling of what Concord Park has to offer. With roughly 685 feet of climbing, this route packs plenty of riding into a relatively short loop.
Starting from the Calloway Ridge Trailhead, the route winds through a mix of classic wooded singletrack before crossing over to explore the Ballfield loops, and newer, flow-oriented trails. Expect rolling terrain, roots, tight turns, punchy climbs, and fast, playful descents. Nothing is overly sustained, but the frequent ups and downs add up and make this a solid intermediate ride.
The route’s interconnected layout keeps things interesting, linking 17 different trail segments into one continuous tour. It’s a great choice for riders visiting Concord for the first time who want to see more of the park, or for locals looking for a go-to loop that hits a little bit of everything.
Concord’s trails are natural surface and can be sensitive to wet conditions, so check current trail conditions before riding. Afterward, take advantage of the rest of Concord Park—bring a towel in the summer and cool off in Fort Loudoun Lake.
