A suggestion for a beginner loop. This route ends at the gravel road. From there either:
* Continue on gravel to parking, or take the climb to your right, then continue southbound on the trail along the fence (rider's right) until hitting the other gravel road (right where "Bear Ass" begins), and head left (downhill) to the parking.

Hood Beginner Loop is a 4 mile moderately popular intermediate route located near Simsbury Connecticut. This mountain bike only route and has a easy overall physical rating. This route includes 13 trails. This route climbs 328 ft with a max elevation of 294 ft then descends -303 ft.
