Lost Valley Loop is a roughly 9 mile ride out of the Fall Creek TH. Debates rage about route, but most people ride counter-clockwise so as not to miss the awesome descent on the McKenny Trail back down to Fall Creek. Thanks to trail work and re-routing over the past few years, this is now a year-round loop.

Some sections are very wet and muddy due to recent rain and snow melt. Overall the trail was in good shape though and rideable from parking lot to parking lot.

I decided to try the new section of trail to avoid the fire road climb because of a review that said it was better. It's like riding up a steep hill covered in 4 inches of loose sand. Add to that someone took there horse through it and now there are divots every 18 to 20 inches so it's like riding uphill in loose sand on top of railroad ties. I expect once we get some rain it will pack down and be a nice, yet much steeper, trail.
