This loop features a bit of the Beeler Canyon Trails as well as the Trans County trail as it passes through the Poway area. It is a mixture of singletrack, pathways and a little bit of street riding to stitch the loop together. This is a good introduction to get to know this area and you will pass my numerous splits along this route to ear mark future permutations of this loop. The route is best done in the cooler months with winter time and early spring often being remarking when the hillside are green during our "rainy" season.

This loop starts at nearly the high point of the loop in the Costco parking lot. Another good option is to park near the junction of Scripps Poway Parkway and Pomerado Road near the Chevron, Starbucks and Jersey Mike's "Center".

Detailed Description

Poway-Beeler Loop is a 11 mile popular intermediate route located near Poway California. This mountain bike only route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 2 trails. This route climbs 1,353 ft with a max elevation of 912 ft then descends -1,362 ft.
