This route starts out with a three mile push for a mortal man. Once you reach the Alpine trail it doesn't take long to see why this is a black diamond, with technical steeps and equally challenging short ups for 1 1/2 miles to the Hall Lake trail. Take a right and the trail keeps up with it's engaging narrow technical nature for about 5 miles to the creek crossing. Once across the creek the trail starts to open up and turns into a fast-flowing ripper to the end.

Sixmile-Hall Loop is a 10 mile popular expert route located near Swan Lake Montana. This mountain bike only route can be used one direction and has a hard overall physical rating. This route includes 9 trails. This route climbs 2,513 ft with a max elevation of 6,194 ft then descends -3,425 ft.

Hall Lake	Jun 18, 2026 @ 6:34pm (America/Denver) Jun 18, 2026	FAMB Trail Crew has cleared all obstructing trees (66 of them) up to the A7 intersection! There are two rootball holes created by falling trees just above the two switchbacks (around mile 3.2 from the bottom), but they are ridable with caution.
