This is a fun route starting from the gate out of the campground. At about 2.8 mi take a left on the s.t Wood Canyon Vista Trail (aka Backbone). Uphill to top for 1.8 mi. Go right at top past junction with Hell Hill and La Jolla Valley to the top of Guadalasca. Take Guad down (about 2.t downhill s.t.) until you reach Wood Cyn fire road. Go left and ride the fire road through the old ranch area with a right hand turn to climb the blacktop (it's gravel now) to the water tower. Make sure to go left from the water tower until you reach the s.t. Sin Nombre which flows to the lower s.t Two foxes which flows back to the Wood Canyon fire road. Go left back to the campground.
Detailed Description
Sycamore Cyn Loop is a 18 mile popular intermediate route located near Newbury Park California. This mountain bike only route can be used both directions and has a moderate overall physical rating. This route includes 3 trails. This route climbs 1,774 ft with a max elevation of 1,221 ft then descends -1,777 ft.
