Beginning to get washed out, especially towards the bottom. There's a buried fencepost sticking a few inches out of the ground in the center of the track on the final downhill where the trail is beside the road. I'm fairly certain it wasn't there when I last rode it!
A mate split his head open today on the bridge at the bottom of hully gully by slipping on the wet wood. Even more proof that chicken wire should be on them

Today i was in the forest at 930 to clean the bottom loop with first time volunteer doogey. We managed to clean all the way round to the exit of home baked before heading to the hub to meet up with Andy Parky. We then headed up to simons swamp to clear branches that were blocking the trails and clear any rubbish on this section. Amongst the things we collected are a jumper, 2 pairs of underpants , a pair of shorts , 3 inner tubes 3 rear mud guards and 2 front mud guards. There are still a few bits on the lower trails but they were stuck in the ice so will have to wait till next time. It was a great day with lots of laughter. We ended up wet and freezing cold but happy with our efforts today. This is how much we removed today so my thanks to andy and doogey. Some of you have recognised my van but today was the last time it will be at gisburn. In the short term my new van wont be sign written so please dont think i've abandoned the place. Andy made the correct call in cancelling the santa ride as there is ice everywhere, your safety is important to us
