Some sections on busy roads and narrow side streets.

This is the entire Mammoth Town Loop, and it is a very popular all paved route used primarily by cyclists. People still walk this route, but most often just segments of it. If you want to get around the town of Mammoth Lakes, this is probably the best way to access restaurants, hotels/lodges, homes, gear shops and almost anything else. A couple sections are on streets, some with bike lanes and some without but most of this is car-free on a paved doubletrack path. It might be impassable in the winter, but at least some of the route is snowplowed. From this you could add little side trips to Shady Rest Park or if you're feeling up for a climb, to Horseshoe Lake on the Lakes Basin Path. But either way, this is a road bikers dream and well worth the ride on any bike if you're up here in the summer or fall.

Between the bridge and eagle, lots of snow cover today. Alongside the Obsidian construction, the is is diverted onto dirt, fine on MTB, not great on road bike.
