The Trig Loop starts from the Waipa MTB Carpark by Secret Spot Hot Tubs. The loop features amazing views from the lower and upper Whaka Lookouts over nearby thermal areas to Lake Rotorua and Mt Ngongotaha. The trig is 428m above sea level and this track has an optional out-and-back extra: the Waipa Lookout with views of the forest to the South. The track has steps and is steep in places.

Detailed Description
Trig Loop is a 2 mile popular easy route located near Rotorua. This hike only route can be used both directions and has a easy overall physical rating. This route includes 5 trails. This route climbs 387 ft with a max elevation of 1,411 ft then descends -393 ft.
