Named 'Mortgage' because the word directly translates from Latin as "Deathgrip". The trail builders were looking to add some less steep and brakeless riding to the area. It follows a south facing ridgeline therefore will be clear of snow earlier than other trails in the Baseline network.
All jumps and drops have ride arounds and some are gaps so look before you leap.
There's no way to shuttle this one so it should provide many seasons of loamy goodness
Take Spider Road for a quick pedal, skipping 1st Mortgage. Expect to complete the half loop in around an hour.

Appreciate being able to ride these areas and glad to see more trails in the area. But even 1st and 2nd mortgage are pretty steep. Feel like this area is being built by people who spend a lot of time shuttling. There is opportunity to make a really long flowy downhill xc style trail out here. This would make the climb effort to get there so much more worth it. Especially since the other side has so much straight down stuff. Which is awesome for that type of riding. Hoping the builders are able to link some runs like these together
