Rode this for the first time today. Enjoyed the rugged beauty of multicolored rocks you won't find on the front side of McCullough Hills. Surprise find was the view out over the Eldorado Valley. Stop on the plateau at the South end of the ride to take in the view.

recently rode the 701 loop (counterclockwise) for the first time. intermediate difficulty feels like the proper rating, and it's definitely a cardio workout. the flowing section at the bottom of the loop was the highlight for me.

I finally rode this trail. It definitely seems way less traveled than any other trail in the system as it is so remote and fun rewards are very limited. The rewards that you get are the view and the feeling of extreme remoteness. You will have very spotty cell service and will likely be the only person in the valley that this trail loops around. If you're looking for an XC workout without any very technical secttions this is king of the area (I cannot speak for small section between 607 and the 607/610 connector). If you want to access this trail the 607 to connectors are pretty technical but if you can get to Purple Nurple/Nitro backside/Nitro Wash up/Flowbee junction that may take less effort. This trail is a bit of a hidden gem but not very well maintained so expect some rough sections and a few spots that may be a bit difficult to find where the trail goes. I took it clockwise and I may take it in the other direction next time, I'm not really sure if the other direction is necessarily any easier. Also there are plenty of cairns letting you know that you're on the correct path.
