Typically the first trail most riders hit when riding the Tassel Hill trail network. It starts out with a moderate climb through pine forest leading to a ravine crossing with a narrow bridge. Moderate climbing resumes as the trail pulls away from the ravine in open hardwood forest.
After a short off-camber uphill section, the trail levels out for a bit then transitions to a fun section with alternating short climbs and descents. The trail returns to a pine forest and crosses two shallow bridged ravines. After the second bridge, the trail resumes climbing through the pine forest where several rock piles are eventually encountered.
The top of the climb is reached as the forest transitions back to hardwoods. The final section from the top of the climb is a fast, flowing downhill. This final section of the trail is the most technical with several steep ravines, rocks, and rock drops.
Just as the downhill section begins, an alternate route bears left providing connections to White street and Tassle Hill trails.
