Did this anticlockwise after riding Slickrock clockwise the previous day…. We rode on electric full suspension bikes. Need to keep eyes open for the route, but was less ridden, enjoyable views, the Abyss viewpoint is amazing!

We hopped onto this trail after starting the normal Slickrock trail clockwise. Really HARD to find entrance when you're cooking down the slabs. The little viewpoint thing is really neat. Starts with a giant climb going clockwise. The rock over here seems more rough than Slickrock. I believe Slickrock trail is a black diamond for steepness and difficulty on climbs and descents, and this was just as nasty as Slickrock. I would be curious to do this trail counterclockwise and then finish Slickrock counterclockwise as well.

This is NOT easier than slick rock. After riding out on the practice loop and to the intersection of above the abyss my partner and I decided to take an “easier” blue back instead of the 5 mile black on slick rock. We were off our bikes and hiking probably 75% of the trail. Versus maybe 20% on slick rock. Just stick to slick rock and skip this.

The entrances of this trail are not marked, but if you look around the ground following the map you should see it pretty quickly. Its only marked with small white paint dots, which are hard to follow at times. Not much easier than slickrock, just fewer long punchy steep climbs.
