The trail is mostly old logging road that has grown in over time to become singletrack. Turning right just after the entrance provides a 2-3 minute singletrack descent through a pine plantation (ride at your own risk; this section is overgrown with raspberry canes). There are a number of sections that are extremely steep with loose sand; you may end up spending quite a bit of time pushing your bike up hills. There is virtually no signage, so riding in here is always an adventure.
