The newest addition to the humber valley descents, axemate is a narrow singletrack with lots of roots, rocks, flat and off camber corners, berms, and some small/medium jumps/drops. Trail begins after turning off the quarry access road and ends in an old, unused pit near the TCH. Riders can descend a steep spine in the pit to the highway, or climb back up through an old doubletrack, and then some snowmobile trails back to Massey drive.
Access from Joles Knob or Massey Drive via quarry access trail.
This trail is unsanctioned.
This is a mountain bike specific trail. It has many blind corners and steep descents that pose significant risk to hikers. Hiking is strongly discouraged.
