Back Achers is the newest section of the Gar Pond Trail, accessing the back acres of the Suwannee River Water Management District lands in the area. The trail is breaking in nicely, and contrary to its early reputation, is quite smooth and won't break your back Its five miles separate the Ponds and the River sections of the Gar Pond Trail, and there is a connector that bypasses it if you wish a shorter ride.
