Ah, good old Benson Grade. I guess it could be worse. Fiendish in how it always seems slightly longer than the last time with its little twists that reveal one more little section to go—or is it? Climb this to get to the downhill trails (Down Dogger, Eh Line, etc) and to begin the RED LOOP in the best direction, which is clockwise. Rough Rock Ridge is the starting segment of the RED LOOP (which will cease to exist as a marked trail soon, unfortunately, and which is already not visible on Trailforks (possibly it is mapped with the online version). Climbing up Benson G to start Red gets a lot of the climbing out of the way upfront so that West and East Greywalls and Freak N Nature can be more fun!
