A Trilha do Berne é uma descida rápida, com varios drops e dois saltos duplos divertidos mas também perigosos. O acesso é feito pelo bairro pantanal, subindo pela estrada de manutenção da antena no topo do Maciço da Costeira.

Essa trilha, que hoje é chamada de Trilha do Berne, era a antiga Trilha da Fazendinha, ou seja, uma trilha de gado. Depois disso foi usada por motos até que foi muito destruída.
Ficou praticamente abandonada até que a galera do grupo Trilhas do Mangue reativou ela. Nessa primeira manutenção um dos participantes "pegou um berne" e a trilha acabou ganhando um novo nome.

Desde 2015 a trilha recebe manejo do grupo CicloTrilhas Floripa, o que melhorou as condições da trilha com o manejo da vegetação e com aplicação drenos, aumentando significantemente o numero de ciclistas e hikers.

A Trilha é de nível experiente e tem uma inclinação favorável para alta velocidade, além de obstáculos de nível avançado, por isso respeite sua técnica, seus limites e use os equipamentos de proteção adequados.
