This trail provides a scenic singletrack alternative to the [L=https://www.trailforks.com/trails/jumbo-backbone-trail/] Jumbo Backbone trail[/L]. From the ridge there are good views of the mountains on to north and west. The ridge is a great place to view wildflowers in the spring. Bitterroot flowers are usually abundant in early June.
