The Missoula Mountain Bike Coalition (MMBC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit mountain bike organization based in Missoula, Montana. MMBC works to develop, maintain, and advocate for sustainable mountain bike trails throughout the Missoula area and western Montana.
Trails & Stewardship
MMBC builds and maintains a network of more than 100 miles of mountain bike trails in and around Missoula, including purpose-built singletrack, downhill trails, climbing routes, and skills-oriented facilities. The organization works closely with land managers to develop sustainable trails and improve the riding experience while protecting the long-term health of the trail systems.
A major focus of MMBC's trail development is Marshall Mountain, where the organization has helped establish a growing network of purpose-built mountain bike trails and continues to develop new riding opportunities.
MMBC also provides trail-development and stewardship support for projects beyond Missoula, including work with communities and land managers in the surrounding region.
Advocacy & Access
MMBC represents the interests of the local mountain biking community in trail planning, land-management, and recreation discussions. The organization works with public agencies, land managers, and other trail users to expand responsible mountain bike access and ensure that trails are sustainably designed, constructed, and maintained.
Community
Volunteer trail work is an important part of MMBC's activities. The organization also supports mountain bike participation through group rides, youth programs, community events, education, and other initiatives designed to introduce more people to mountain biking.

Enjoy riding the Rattlesnake, Pattee Canyon, Blue Mountain? Thank MTB Missoula. This group has pumped tens of thousands of dollars into maintaining existing trails and reconstructing old ones. Fence Line - MTBM Project. Sheep Mountain - Cleared annually by MTBM. Pony up a few bucks and support these cats. If they don't clear the trails, nobody will.
Thankful for the good work MTB Missoula does throughout our area. The Bluebird Trail in Grant Creek is not open to mountain bikes because it is so short. The Grant Creek Trails Association (grantcreektrails.org) advocates for bicycle/pedestrian trails benefiting Grant Creek. Please consider supporting our work!
