I miss the old trail that wondered through the trees. Now it is a boring straight line along an old access road

This trail is WAY longer than listed. There is an area further up the canyon you can park and jump on a dirt road before it’s back to single track. I went passed some summer homes before turning around. My guess is the bridge at the mouth of the canyon to where I was is easily 5 miles, and the trail kept going. I passed no other hikers, but saw a few bikes.

Walked 1.5 miles up with my pup. Loved the sound of the river. Excited to discover a new trail.
