A fun cruisy trail through the ponderosa forest, the Blue Jay Trail goes gradually uphill and intersects with the Lost Chicken, creating some longer loop options. The Blue Jay trail follows Rush Creek for a couple of miles and does include one creek crossing that can be challenging during spring runoff. In addition, there is one wire gate crossing.
