Great hike where you will hit 2 of the 3 bluenose summits. Evidently the third summit is on private land. Generally hiked counter-clockwise, with a fast ascent of steep switchbacks almost immediately from the parking lot up to the western summit which provides a view of the valley towards Vernon as well as a view of the plateau to the south. After the western summit you can return the way you came to make the hike short, but then you would miss the even more majestic views of the Trinity Valley from the eastern summit. The hike from the western to eastern summit requires some substantial elevation loss that you will make back up again with more steep switchbacks, but the view is worth it. From the eastern summit you will continue along the circuit trail, descending on more switchbacks and relatively steep terrain at first, which eventually levels out to a gradually descending trail taking you parallel to the road back to the parking lot.

Access Info

Bluenose Road from Lavington is gravel, but well-maintained and usable for any vehicle. The parking area is a generous size, generally with lots of vacant space.
