The trail starts off going right down Snows and slowly levels out to follow Avalanche Brook. It is a very nice descent, watch your front tire on the bridges There is a sketchy river crossing before merging onto Livermore so AVOID in wet weather (this is the main reason it is not available in mud season). The climb is moderate, with some tight maneuvers and steep sections.
