A loop along the base of many sandstone domes, popular with horses, but also good for hiking, especially in the winter. This trail is too sandy to be enjoyable for bikers.

Great horse ride! From the grapevine parking lot, the entire loop took me 3 hours. My horse was walking most of it. There is a lot of sand. No water crossings or bridges to cross. Mostly roads and desert single track! Beautiful!!! Great snack spot about half way, that has rings in the rock to tie horses to. Highly recommended for a winter ride!

Very beautiful! Lots of cool rock formations. I would do this many times. Lots of sand but I didn’t mind.

If you like SAND then this is your hike! Horse riding is really popular and it make its even more challenging to hike in with the large holes left from the horse’s

This was a one and done hike for us
