This moderately popular trail leaves from Branham Lake Campground and ascends to a saddle that sits between Branham Peaks Thompson Peak, and Leggat Mountain. There are great views, and hikers have a plethora of options to where they can go from here, including Gneiss Lake, Thompson Reservor, Bell Lake or any of the surrounding peaks. Mountain biking: unfortunately there aren't any good options after reaching the saddle other than riding back down the way they came up. From the campground, the first mile of trail is relatively pleasant, rideable in both directions and is intermediate in grade. The trail then becomes steep and moderately technical: you will likely be pushing your bike up the rest of the way. The trickiest thing about the descent is the super tight switchbacks which will likely force some riders off their bikes.
