A flowy and often loose descent with a sandstone boulder drop and a handful of jumps to keep you on your toes. Most of the trail rides like a blue, but it has some challenging features to be aware of.

Fun downhill trail, not really a black diamond, if you hit all the features its more of a blue and if you go around them the trail can easily be ridden by new riders. Lots of good flow but it can get a little muddy as its still working itself in so try to avoid it if there was rain recently. Ewok makes for a great climb up to it and the option of looping scotts dh add for an extra little descent without much more pedalling.

Good downhill run which takes advantage of the terrain. The trail is in great shape.

Really a blue. Fun trail. Dirt is good for most of the trail. Turns sandy at the end so watch for that

On 6/26/20 I biked Mixtape up, and, Brass Monkey down. Great dry conditions with sunny, 85 degrees for the midday ride, happily 3/4 was under tree canopy. Started behind the Ronald General Store (stop in and give them some business and you can ask to park there or ask their recommendation). I used Trailforks app to guide me to the Mixtape trail head, which initially was not easy to find but did so thanks to the GPS on the app, which happily worked the entire trek to the top and back down the mountain. Mixtape was a 3 mile uphill, single track (a robust, challenging ride up - it would be a fun ride down but for safety, due to blind spots, take it slowly or ride Brass Monkey down, which was my chosen downhill). At the apparent top of Mixtape, upon hitting the forest service road (aka Main Ridge Road per Trailforks app) the remainder of Mixtape seemed overrun by brush so I turned right up the hill for about 150 yards to catch Brass Monkey (which was a great ride with the same super conditions). I absolutely recommend Brass Monkey!! Note: a little beyond, and up the hill, from Brass Monkey was Scott’s DH (a Downhill that criss-crosses with Ewok and West Middle Traverse halfway down and ends in Roslyn). All in all a great end of June ride. Next adventure is to bike and find Mammoth Rock. Another is try biking the parallel ride to Mixtape, Ewok, which is out of Roslyn. Be sure to stop by the ‘Ride Roslyn’ bike store to get the latest info and give them some business during the COVID challenges and support T2T. Note I have no business interests in any of these businesses.

Running great. Not a black. Most definitely a blue. Still a great trail and worth the climb.

Fun trail! Mostly blue flow, with optional or rollable jumps and rock rolls. Only a few rocks that gave me pause - those I would consider black.

Great condition. Met some of the local team that put in a bunch of work on ewok and surrounding area. Great people and many thanks for a fun, flowy long run. As far as the rating goes it is accurate for the area. The terrain is just not rocky and rooty. Nice change from the constant rock pounding rootfest we have on the west side. The views are amazing of Stuart and the mosquito's can pop out if you sit too long. Overall, the flavor of the area is really cool, the people are nice, and the small town shops are cool with a bike shop too. Climb up ewok was really nice after the small logging area at the beginning.

I personally think this is more an intermediate blue trail particularly because of the ruts that have formed, the narrowness of the trail, and a couple roll downs without a bypass. Might be challenging but do-able for a beginner (since it’s possible to walk down all features).
