This is a moderate, sometimes difficult climb with a few tight turns. There are great wooded, shady areas and open areas to view Utah Valley, Utah Lake and Timp. There is a log roll in the middle that you can roll or jump.

The trailhead begins at the dirt road gate on the end of East Salem Hills Drive in Elk Ridge, UT.
