There and Back through the grasslands. One of the first trails to open in the Spring when the snow melts. Very hot in the summer heat with danger of Rattle Snakes and Cacti. A chance to ride through some of the rarest grasslands in BC.
Trailhead coordinates: UTM 402187/ 5430311
Travel 6km East of Grand Forks on Highway 3 and turn left onto Gilpin FSR. Parking is on your right after a large rock. Get on your bike and continue up the road and you will see the trail head on your right just after a cattle guard.

|Lots of spring growth, trail is barely visible but fun to ride thru the waist-high grasses. Keep an eye for hidden rocks along the trail edges....|
