The Kettle River Cycling Association (KRCA) is a non-profit cycling organization dedicated to promoting and growing cycling culture throughout the Boundary region of British Columbia, with a focus on Grand Forks and Christina Lake. KRCA supports mountain biking, trail stewardship, cycling advocacy, and community events while working to expand safe and sustainable riding opportunities for riders of all ages and abilities.
The association helps maintain and advocate for an extensive network of local trails, ranging from cross-country singletrack and trail systems around Grand Forks to destination riding areas such as Thimble Mountain, Lynch Creek, and surrounding backcountry terrain. KRCA also supports broader cycling experiences in the region, including access to rail trails and multi-use routes such as sections of the Kettle River Heritage Trail and The Great Trail.
Beyond trail development and maintenance, KRCA plays an active role in building the local cycling community through volunteer trail days, fundraising, advocacy, and events including grassroots races and fun rides. The organization works to protect and improve access to trails while encouraging responsible recreation and a welcoming cycling culture in the Boundary area.
Based in Grand Forks, British Columbia, KRCA serves as a hub for local riders and visitors looking to explore one of BC’s underrated riding destinations, where dry interior forests, river valleys, rail trails, and mountain terrain combine to offer a diverse riding experience.
