The trail is located on the north side of Montieri hill, from the end of Folavento trail to the asphalted road that climbs from the village to the top. It is mostly uphill, with short but steep ramps in the first part and some more technical sections. Almost at the end it passes next to the ruins of the Basilica of San Niccolò, built in the eleventh century, a church in the shape of "hexapetale", unique in Italy and very rare throughout Europe.
