        The current state of this trail is that the west side is a decent singletrack, and then there's a steep and loose fire road back. I recommend either descending the fire road if you want a steep bomb or doing an out-and-back on the singletrack.

        Barely tell it's a fire road, it is so overgrown. At times riding through hip height growth. Some places have prickle bush across path.

        John Muir Land Trust is working on a project to re-route a portion of the trail around the section which had a flowing seep this year to a corridor up hill. The re-route would also provide a lower average grade. Alternatives to the current drainage crossing at the upper end are also being discussed. Timing will be dictated by permitting requirements most likely.
