Captain trail is a nice add-on trail that splits off towards the end of Easter Island Trail. It has a bit of climbing towards the start but you are rewarded with a very fun and techy downhill, and a stunning view of Willow Lake.

I've ridden at least half of the trails in the Dells and Constellation and I am not very good at it but really enjoy the challenges. My impression is that Captain is one of the most difficult to ride. Because of the tightness and lack of ability to maintain momentum it feels like an old school hiking trail. I personally did not enjoy it for mountain biking.

Definitely holds the bar for techy. The SW end is definitely more chill than the NE section; however, if just looking to get back to the car after a long CW loop of the area, head down Easter Island to Peavine; this trail is not a longer 'fast and flowy' finish, definitely longer but still need to stay focused.

You will be a better rider after this trail and all the trails in this network. Super fun if you like a challenge. Don't let grouchy face ruin it for you. Go get it!
