After your suspension receiving a pounding from Bob Gnarly, Cattlegrid starts off with a much smoother dash into the trees, with a few large rocks embedded into the trail to catch out unwary riders. Floor it through the wide cathedral-like avenue of trees, before breaking cover and winding up a narrow single-track under the power lines through the gorse to the section of roots that gives this track it's name. Watch out - the trail splits at several points
