The Continental Divide Trail continues to have construction on it. This segment is what is completed as of the end of July 2017. This continues from the segment up to Sullivan Creek. So far there are no know loops and is ridden as an out and back. After the first 6 miles or so from the bottom the trail stays pretty flat by going up and down between 7800 ft and just over 8000 ft. It does go up and down quite a bit and is fairly tiring even though it doesn't look like you climb much. The trail is brand new and is a lot of fun, but is still ruff and needs to be ridden in more. Enjoy!

Access Info

Follow the Seymour Lake Road to the end and you are at the trailhead. Make sure you look for the new trail that starts fairly soon to the right of the old trail. It is easy to miss, so if you go over a 1/3 of a mile up the trail without turning off, back track a bit. If you stay on the main trail you will end up in Wilderness Area.
