You start from the coast road between Portreath and Hells Mouth. You pop over a style by the footpath sign on your left when heading towards Hells Mouth (non-cliff side).

The trail in in three sections, annoying broken up by two sets of farmers double gates to keep the cattle in! It is all down hill, with varying degrees of gradient. The first section is a quite open pathway, but beware of the electric fence near your right elbow!

The second section is a continuation of the same path, but this is in a dip and more narrow. There is also a style to cross, but this is roll-able. The second section is the longest and allows you to enjoy it when flying down the hill.

The third section is more like a woodland path, you are between two hedges with trees above, some with branches you will have to duck! This is rocky and a little rooty in places to make it more interesting. Beware of the barbed wire on the left as you make the gradual right turn near the end. Make sure you are on the breaks as you reach the end (there is a house on the left) as you will end up out in the middle of the road!

This is not too technical but is quite fun and you can get some good speed up in places. It is a nice way to link the north cliffs exit of Tehidy Woods with the Coombe entrance to the woods as part of a larger or circular ride.

This trail is Unsanctioned, Ride at your own Risk!
