Jan 15, 2025 @ 7:21pm Jan 15, 2025 | mtb Trail Status - Crackers DH / The Moo - CLOSED Due to the huge amounts of rain we will unfortunately need to ask you all to not ride Crackers DH until further notice. The high clay content of Crackers means it will be susceptible to damage if ridden now. This is the prevent damage to the track that will impact the ride experience when it is running in its best conditions of being dry, hard and fast. If you "need" to ride look for trails with a high rock base. There are some trails in Garigal that still hold up in the wet. We will need a few hot sunny days in a row before the track is reopened, so please don't ride just because there is a break in the rain. Jul 18, 2024 @ 11:30pm Jul 18, 2024 | mtb Trail status - Crackers DH - OPEN!!! IMPORTANT NOTICE RE: ENTRY Trail status- Bus Stop - Closed for work from 22 July 2024 until otherwise advised. The few sunny days and some wind has helped dry the DH track enough to call it open in time for the weekend. Thanks for those to gave the track a rest, it really helps. Enter the DH from the tennis courts. With the Bus Stop jumps at the start. Council is helping clear the vegetation and down trees as well as help with some revisions next week. This will involve interrupting the jump line with some digging. The jumps line on Bus Stop will be closed. Please enter the DH from the tennis courts until further notice and stay off Bus Stop. | Variable | view | |

May 16, 2024 @ 10:49pm May 16, 2024 | mtb TRAIL STATUS - OPEN Marty has been working his magic on Crackers DH this week to get it running before the weekend. The track is still holding water in sections, so please do a sighting run before committing to big features as it won't be running as fast as it has been. Marty has provided me with the below updates. 1st level: 1st shark fin lander water has completely subsided water but the flow long section too sandbags dry. Second level: Left berm rolling into 1st Lily pads holding water. The bottom section but l suspect its wet but mostly rock, but may be slippery. He has also done a lot of work on the up track. Be mindful the water table is still high and the track is running slower than it has for a while. If you're not sure of your speed do some sighting runs before hitting the big features. A few of the most challenging features have well hidden B lines so if you're (like me!) a little less confident take it real slow and be on the lookout. Jun 3, 2022 @ 1:26am Jun 3, 2022 | mtb overall the trail has held up okay. there is about 20% of the trail that is still impacted by high water table. examples of soft sections include first jump from berm, berm leading into Lily Pads and sections in the Lily Pads jumps to name a few. trails are open, but we ask that riders are sensible and stay off if we have rain so the issues don't get worse. cheers. | Variable | view | |
