The trail starts at a junction of Blue Mountain Road with the Blue Mountain National Recreation Trail. It parallels the road passing through tall grass and sparse trees with good view of the north side of Hayes Point. The trail drops into the gully and follows a small creek down through thicker trees. The trail then crosses the creek and leaves the gully ending at the road providing a connection to the lower mountain trails on the other side of the road.

Creek was basically running down the trail when I hiked this and it was very muddy. I think it's going to be a while before this is rideable again.
