Dixie Mine Trail Details
Dixie Mine is one of the most remote and scenic trails in the the McDowell Mountains, particularly the section south of Thompson Peak access road. The gentle pitch of the trail makes it fun in either direction.
From the north, access from Pemberton trail or Thompson Peak access road. On the south end, there is access through the Eagle's Nest neighborhood, though you need to go through the guard-gated entry on Golden Eagle Blvd. Alternatively, use Sonoran Trail to bypass Eagle's Nest.
