THe quickest way from the western viewpoint (most think of as being summit) down to Uffington at a reasonable standard, ie Red and ir avoiding the rock chute at the low end of Red. Follow the Quarry Right Hand (Blue) trail easily away from the summit to a T junction. Turn Left and follow singletrack past a little rock feature until a trail forks left down through the bracken to avoid the 90 deg. left bend and down immediately a steep rocky chute. Immediately after this turn left at the T Junction and follow trail until swings right down hill. Follow this steeply to join Abbey Run. Possibly the best Red graded downhill trail on the hill.
