A bike/hike-a-bike traverse track across scree and through native bush. Amazing scenery but not a track that you'd plan to ride fast. A massive drop off to one side and many corners with rocks that you have to carry your bike over, not a good track for someone with a fear of heights. Watch for slips after rain.

Access Info

Ride up the Craigieburn Ski Field access road (1-2hr climb) or find someone with a key to the gate for the ski field and get shuttled up. Park at the gate to the ski field road or at the DoC campsite off the Broken River Ski Field road and use the Sidle 73 Track to get over to the Craigieburn Rd
